(She's still not trained, although we're not actively trying right now), but I have to say, it is a great introduction to the idea of the potty and poopy. About a week after we started reading it with her, she actually showed a little bit of interest in the potty. My daughter (now 19-months) really enjoys this book. She asked for it every night for about 2 months straight when we first started reading it to her at about 14-months.
Just illustrates that all are just the same in their behaviour. this is funny, with pictures that are comic and well-written short text statements.
Def Recommenced this book if you are potty training. It is kinda short but nothing you can't add lib to. Bought This Book When We Started Potty Training Our Son And He LOVED it. he still says he wants to read it for his bedtime story.
Reading this book over and over and over to them helped them. It cracks me and the mom up all the time. This book is fun to read with kids and it helps them understand that going poop is not a bad thing. Although it is no substitute for just5 putting in the time and understanding and frustration:) As a dad that has some juvenile humor, the best part of the book is having the kids read the words and say the word poop. The illustration looks like a kid drew it but its fun. If you have kids like mine then you know what I mean. In the earlier years one was afraid to go poop on the toilet and would scream bloody murder.
This book helps make kids, and their parents comfortable with the #2.it just makes me giggle.
